On September 6-7, the 2023 OGP Global Summit will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, and will be hosted by the Estonian government.


The heads of state and government, civil society leaders, and policymakers from around the world will gather at the Summit. The Summit will concentrate on the preservation of democracy, the potential of technology to improve governance and policymaking's transparency and accountability, and open government in the digital age.

Empowering Indigenous Youth-Led Initiatives for Sustainable Governance in Developing Countries

"Empowering Indigenous Youth-Led Initiatives for Sustainable Governance in Developing Countries" will be a milestone for the youth leaders participating in the summit. This event includes the importance of indigenous youth and their responsibility in progressing sustainable governance practices, particularly in developing countries.


This side event will focus on showcasing successful youth-driven initiatives within local governments, emphasizing their commitments to accountability and sustainability. The challenges faced by indigenous youth as well as methods for empowering them through policy support, mentorship programs, and capacity building will be discussed during the event.


At the event, indigenous youth leaders, policymakers, and experts can also share their experiences, innovative strategies, and best practices in panel discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. It will also be a place to network, encourage collaboration, and look for opportunities for different organizations from around the world led by indigenous youth.
